This story still gives me a headache. For those of you not connected to the college basketball world, Kentucky got a verbal agreement from an 8th grader from Thousand Oaks, CA. Michael Avery (somehow he's 15, but an 8th grader?) made his college decision before he decided where he was going to attend high school.Perhaps the oddest part of this story is that Billy Gillispie got hot and heavy for this kid (there's probably a better choice of words out there, but I'm tired) after his performance in an Ohio tournament last year.
